Paris Adds 60 km of Bike Lanes in Build-up to the 2024 Olympic Games

As Paris gears up to host the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the city is making strides to ensure a greener, more bike-friendly environment.

The ambitious plan includes 60 kilometers of new bike lanes designed to link all competition venues, creating a seamless and eco-friendly way for spectators and athletes alike to navigate the city.

A Bicycle-Friendly Legacy

Central to this initiative is the creation of nearly 30 kilometers of bike paths within Paris itself.

These paths will be adorned with dedicated signage and decorated in the vibrant colors and iconography of the Paris 2024 Games

Enhancing Infrastructure

To accommodate the influx of cyclists, 10,000 additional bike rack spaces will be installed around Olympic venues.

These temporary installations will find permanent homes in sports centers, schools, and municipal facilities across Paris post-Games.

Seine-Saint-Denis Joins the Movement

The Seine-Saint-Denis department is also embracing this cycling revolution with 25 kilometers of new bike lanes.

This expansion is part of a broader plan to develop a comprehensive cycling network across the department’s 342 kilometers of roads.

Residents will benefit from enhanced connectivity to Olympic venues

A Lasting Impact

Paris aims to make cycling a lasting legacy, promoting a healthier, more sustainable mode of transportation.

These efforts will not only facilitate movement during the event but also encourage Parisians and visitors to adopt cycling as a daily habit.

Paris is set to show the world what a bicycle-friendly city looks like.

As cycling for carbon reduction gains popularity, rider safety awareness becomes crucial.

Whether for short urban commutes or long rural rides, a bike camera that records the journey and provides evidence in case of an accident is essential for a safe and enjoyable experience.

Looking's “TREKCAM LX2” combines LED lighting and recording functions.

It comes with two mounts, allowing it to be installed on the handlebars for front recording and lighting, or on the rear as a warning light and rear recorder.

With the mobile app, cyclists can monitor rear traffic. Its 2K Sony starvis night vision lens and 4-hour battery life ensure clear recording and safety.

The "DB-5" helmet-mounted bike camera features dual front and rear lenses and connects to a mobile app for real-time traffic monitoring.

It includes fatigue vibration alerts and collision lock functions for enhanced safety.

The replaceable lenses meet sustainability goals. Sharing recorded footage can help the public better understand and improve traffic conditions.

Looking invites you to join the Olympic green cycling initiative!
