About Software
How you connect your LOOKING dashcam to your phone depends on the product model. If your model supports phone connection, follow the instructions to connect via Wi-Fi (Find the device for connection) and then access to the LOOKING CAM app. After connecting, you can easily view and download your videos on your phone. If you have trouble connecting, please check your phone's Wi-Fi, the dashcam connection function, and the app settings, or contact LOOKING customer service if needed.
Default Wi-Fi passwords for LOOKING dashcams vary by product model and can typically be found in the user manual, on the device label, or within system settings. After enabling the Wi-Fi function on your dashcam, locate the corresponding Wi-Fi network on your smartphone and enter the password to connect. If you cannot find the password, please contact LOOKING customer support with your product model for assistance.
First ensure that the Wi-Fi feature on the dashcam is activated. Then, toggle your phone's Wi-Fi off and back on to rescan for available networks. If the network still does not appear, make sure the dashcam and your phone are in close proximity, and try restarting both devices before scanning again. If the issue persists, please contact LOOKING customer support with your dashcam model for further assistance.
If your LOOKING dashcam fails to connect to the mobile app, please verify that the dashcam's Wi-Fi is enabled and that your smartphone is connected to the dashcam's Wi-Fi network. Then, open the dedicated LOOKING CAM app and attempt to reconnect. If the issue persists, try disabling cellular data on your phone or restarting both the smartphone and the dashcam before trying again. If the problem remains unresolved, please contact customer support with your dashcam model and details of the app issue for further assistance.
Search for the official LOOKING CAM app in the App Store or Google Play depending on your phone's OS. After installation, turn on your phone's Wi-Fi, connect to your dashcam, and open the app to get connected and adjust settings. Make sure to download the app through official sources to ensure you have the latest version.
Once your phone is connected to the LOOKING dashcam Wi-Fi, open the LOOKING CAM app to view your recorded files in the Camera Files(memory card) or Album list. To save footage, simply use the download feature in the app to save videos to your phone.
Connect your phone to the LOOKING dashcam Wi-Fi, open the LOOKING app, and go to the video file list. Select the videos you want to keep and download them to your phone. Once downloaded, you can view the videos in your phone's photo album or the designated storage location(Album) within the app.
Firmware updates for LOOKING dashcams depend on official announcements and your product model. Official updates are usually released to improve features, compatibility, or fix system issues. Before updating, make sure to check your dashcam model and current firmware version. Always follow the official update steps and keep the device powered on throughout the process to prevent any malfunctions.
Check your dashcam model first, then download the matching firmware and user guide from LOOKING. Make sure your device has sufficient power and the memory card is ready before following the official update steps.
Some models support OTA updates. When connected to the LOOKING CAM app, the device will automatically download and update to the latest firmware.
If the dashcam firmware update fails, first verify that the downloaded firmware version matches your product model, and ensure that the memory card and power supply are operating properly. Never attempt to install firmware intended for a different model. If the update still cannot be completed after following the official instructions, please contact LOOKING customer service for further assistance.
Whether your dashcam requires reconfiguration after a firmware update depends on the product model and firmware version. Following the update, we recommend referring to the user manual to verify that the date/time, recording settings, Wi-Fi, and other functions are operating properly.
If you find that the settings have been restored to their default values after the update, please reconfigure them according to the product instructions. If the device behaves abnormally, please contact LOOKING customer service for further assistance.
